Entries
Please submit up to three digital images representing different works painted completely en plein air. This exhibition is open to all painting mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolor, gouache and pastels. Entries must be entered online by March 16, 2012.
Digital Images
The Wayne Art Center requests digital images in 300 dpi - 4" x 6" (1200 x 1800 pixels) - jpeg file format.
Awards
$6,000 in prizes to be awarded. Group and /or solo exhibition opportunities also available.
Shipping
Artists are responsible for shipping and packaging costs of unsold artwork.
Sales/Insurance
Artwork exhibited must be priced with a retail price commensurate with artist's normal pricing structure. Wayne Art Center will retain 40% of sale price. All work must be available for sale and will be insured for 60% of sale value while on display. The Wayne Art Center will not be responsible for loss or damage of work in transit.
Payment Information
$40 per application.
Timeline
January 16, 2012 – March 16, 2012: online entries will be accepted.
April 13, 2012: notification sent to selected artists,
April 20, 2012: notification sent to declined artist
May 14, 2012: Artists arrive for Welcome Dinner, 7:00 pm.
May 15-17, 2012: Artists paint within 15 miles of Wayne, PA.
May 18, 2012: Artists paint in downtown Philadelphia.
May 19, 2012: Artists paint in downtown Wayne until 1:00pm
May 19, 2012: Exhibition Opens at a Gala Reception and Preview Party at the Wayne Art Center from 6- 10 pm.
June 30: Exhibition closes.
Pick up of unsold work ( TBD)
